Project 7.1 The Notch Filter

This is the support page for the Notch Filter project in Complete Electronics Self-Teaching Guide with Projects.

Parts List:

The following list provides links to suppliers that sell components needed for this project. These links are intended to make finding the parts a little easier for those of you new to electronics. However most parts needed to build these projects can be obtained from various suppliers, you should chose the supplier best for you.

  • One 100 Ω, 0.25-watt resistor.
  • One 1000 pF capacitor. (1000 pF is also sometimes stated by suppliers as 0.001 µF.)
  • One 100 µH inductor. You’ll often find inductors that use a numerical code to indicate the value of the inductor. The first two numbers in this code are the first and second significant digits of the inductance value. The third number is the multiplier, and the units are µH. Therefore, an inductor marked with 101 has a value of 100 µH.)
  • One function generator.
  • One oscilloscope.
  • One breadboard
